Join us for IARGUS 2020!
Starting this week! Please find the schedule below!
Dear All, it is that time of the year again, it is IARGUS time! Due to COVID-19, we will have to do things a little differently this year. Like every other festival on planet Earth, IARGUS is boldly going online –– on Zoom, actually. And, yet, while we do of course regret that we cannot hold our concerts in our usual favorite concert halls in Iowa City and Coralville, we realize that there are actually some advantages to this way of connecting: we can invite artists from both sides of the Atlantic and not worry about their US visas, plane tickets, or carbon footprints! As every year, we will have an exciting program! Before I give you all the necessary info, a couple of important points:
1. The concert times below are given in CDT (Central Daylight Time)–– i.e., the time in Chicago (not New York or Los Angeles). 12 pm CDT (as in Iowa) means 1 pm in NY, 10 am in Los Angeles, 6 pm in Brighton, UK, and 8 pm in Moscow. Make sure you double– and triple–check!
2. $$$$$! All events are open to all audiences. You don’t have to buy tickets. But please keep in mind that your donations will go toward honoraria for the musicians. This year they are not able to join the Iowa audiences, but if you like our music and if you care for the future of the Russian guitar, please PayPal a donation to oleg–timofeyev[at]uiowa[dot]edu. Alternatively, you can also follow the link on IARMAC’s webpage: [https://www.iarmac.com/support][0] and donate with your credit card. Suggested donation for attending a concert is $15– $ 20. And now to the concert schedule with Zoom links:
